Education is key to preventing human trafficking. The Office of Human Trafficking Prevention has developed materials and published reports to equip professionals and members of the public to spread awareness and to learn more about human trafficking response in Louisiana.
Louisiana Natural Disasters and Human Trafficking Outreach Kit
After disasters, traffickers often seek to take advantage of disaster survivors and vulnerable communities by exploiting them for commercial sexual acts and labor services. We encourage agencies and organizations to utilize this toolkit to integrate human trafficking response into your disaster protocols, and to raise awareness of the free, quality services that are available after a disaster.
